This early domestic situation comedy stars Joan Davis as Joan Stevens and Jim Backus as her husband, Judge Bradley Stevens. Each episode begins with the Judge being reminded how the case before him recalls a similar situation he had with his well-meaning but wacky wife, Joan. The show had many similarities to "I Love Lucy" right down to the husband dealing with a scatterbrained wife. CAREERJoan complains that housework is not for her - no more cooking, washing and scrubbing. She tries her hand at acting and the first job she obtains involves scrubbing. Back to the home life goes Joan. COUNTRY CLUBBetween trying to be admitted to a country club and hosting a dinner party for sworn enemies, Joan somehow makes it all work.
